For the third consecutive year, UNIPAK sponsors Lebanon Student StarPack 2013 to promote creativity and support rising talents in the packaging industry.
UNIPAK joins efforts with Lebanese Packaging Center (LibanPack) to encourage university students to innovate and create out-of-the box packaging designs. Lebanon Student StarPack award ceremony and exhibition promotes students to develop user and environmentally friendly packaging that meets professional structural design, branding, and labeling requirements.
The 4th edition of Lebanon Student StarPack took place on 23 April 2013, under the patronage of the Lebanese Minister of Industry, Vrej Sabounjian, at UNESCO Palace in Beirut, Lebanon. Lebanon Student StarPack opened with an award ceremony to acknowledge and reward innovative package design student entries.
UNIPAK General Manager, Fadi Frem, presented the UNIPAK Creative Packaging Award to Farid Kerba for his innovative shelf-ready packaging designed for Lecico, producer of export sanitaryware in the Middle East. The packaging design integrates an opening for customers to open the box and view, as well as touch the packaged product.
Following the award ceremony, Lebanon Student StarPack exhibition showcased package designs submitted by student participants. During the exhibition, UNIPAK representatives, Nassim Nasr and Rami Dirani, met participants to encourage packaging development in Lebanon.
